What Does Remedium Hemp Oil Mean?
Well, remedium is the Latin term for remedy. More recently it’s associated with RHO, or Remedium Hemp Oil. For our products this simply means it’s the plant’s natural compounds in decorboxylated concentrate form. Capsules are very popular for obvious reasons:
- Easy to take a regular, strategic amount to meet your herbal supplementation needs.
- Easier to store than some other forms, like for example syringes of oil, powders, or tea.
- They’re mixed with nothing but coconut oil to increase bioavailability.
Why Coconut Oil?
Oh, there’s so many fabulous reasons to combine healthy fats when consuming remedium hemp oil, or any hemp concentrate really.
The first thing to know is that coconut oil comes packed (2/3rds) with an unusually high amount of medium-chain triglycerides or MCTs. These MCT’s work synergistically with the plant’s naturally occurring cannabinoids to make them easier for your body to absorb and interact with. Meaning they do their jobs faster! See, cannabinoids like CBD break down and are stored in fat, not water, making them fat soluble.
This is emphasized during the metabolization process, where the liver sees the MCT oils as carbs, transforming them into energy without causing any toxins. As such, the quick metabolism again puts the cannabinoids to work in a speedier way. We can’t make any medical claims, but basic human biology shows us the CBD shifts metabolism away from burning sugar and towards a fatty-acid metabolism, while MCT oil helps the process. Ideally, this leads you to a more regulated and balanced endocannabinoid system.
